Join us for Farm Fest!Join us Saturday, July 20; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for Farm Fest, a celebration of urban farming and community in Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood! Farm Fest is co-presented with the Friends of Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands.

Farm Fest

Farm Fest Photo 2Join the fun! Festivities will include fun activities for the whole family. Pick blueberries in the food forest, attend cooking demonstrations, discover the wetlands, plant seeds and more. We'll also be making herb crowns to wear!

Local businesses and community organizations will be serving up refreshments and providing additional opportunities for getting involved in Rainier Beach, including:

City Fruit, Rainier Chamber of Commerce, Puget Sound Beekeepers Association, The Common Acre, Seattle Horticultural Therapy,  Chinook Book, Seattle Cucina, Farm to Table, Seattle Farm and more!

Enjoy storytime with Katherine Pryor reading Bea's Bees at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The first 30 kids at storytime will get a free copy of Bea's Bees to take home! This special Farm Fest giveaway was supported, in part, by 4Culture and the King County Lodging Tax.

Also, get creative and assemble the herb crown of your dreams to wear while exploring the farm and beyond.

We'll have performances by Jah Breeze, playing the steel drums, and Dance Brazil on the Farm Fest stage.

Enjoy tasty snacks and food from local vendors, including Umami Kushi and Frelard Tamales!

Farm Fest Photo 3We'll have food growing in the fields and livestock visiting the farm on the day of the event — please leave pets at home!
