Seattle Celebrates Local Harvest at Seattle Tilth’s Annual Harvest Fair
As our glorious summer winds down, Seattleites will gather to celebrate the bounty that results from a season full of sunshine and hard work. Bring your family and friends to enjoy the best of harvest season -- make cider from local apples, nuzzle a goat, support organic farmers, listen to live music and enjoy tasty food at Seattle Tilth’s 26th annual Harvest Fair! It’s on Saturday, September 7, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Meridian Park (4649 Sunnyside Ave. N., Seattle). Get directions and join the Facebook event.
Local and organic farm stands will be overflowing with fresh produce at the
height of harvest season. The Harvest Fair is a great place to stock-up on
fresh foods, farm crafts, native and edible plants, garden supplies and
sustainable goods. See the list of participating vendors,
farmers and organizations.
Participate in workshops, demonstrations and fun hands-on activities. Make an
herb crown, join the parade, swap seeds, barter homemade goods and chat with
environmental experts about local issues. See the full
