Farm Stand Volunteer Opportunities

Farm Stand 2020

About the Farm Stand

Buy local right in Rainier Beach, every Thursday, June 17-Sep. 30; 2-7 p.m. The farm stand offers an abundance of fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit, flowers, eggs, honey, and other agricultural products. Available products include produce grown right at our farm and additional items sourced from small, local farms.

Our pay-what-you-can farm stand supports our goal of ensuring that everyone in the community has fair, equal, and dignified access to local, fresh, seasonal, organic, and sustainably-grown food. We offer those in need up to $20 of produce at no-cost per visit. We accept cash, credit, EBT, Fresh Bucks and offer SNAP Market Match.

Volunteering with the Farm Stand

Volunteers provide support for the Farm Stand in a few different ways:

  • Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-noon: Volunteers help weigh, bag and pack fresh produce.
  • Thursdays, noon-3 p.m.: Help set up the farm stand, including tents, tables and merchandise, and greet customers.
  • Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Help us pack up the farm stand, including unsold produce and merchandise, tents, tables and boxes.

The Farm Stand is located at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands (5513 S Cloverdale St, Seattle 98118). As we will be working with food, please wear closed-toe shoes and plan to tie your hair back, if applicable.
