SPECIAL EVENTS & POP-UPS

  • Apple Tree Netting Pop-up Work Party in Wallingford
It's that time again! The apple trees have bloomed, the bees have done the job of pollinating, and the fruit is forming. Now it's time to protect the little developing apples from apple maggot flies and codling moths. With directions from our friends at City Fruit, join us this Thursday, May 23, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Adult Learning Garden at the Good Shepherd Center. We will need a total of four volunteers to help lift nets over the trees using bamboo poles. RSVP by emailing our Garden Coordinator, Veralea at veraleaswayne@tilthalliance.org.

  • Children's Garden Pop-up Work Parties in Wallingford
Join us this Spring for pop-up work parties in the Children's Garden at the Good Shepherd Center. On select Wednesdays, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., volunteers and staff will be weeding, mulching, and planting. Come see the new garden take shape! Check available dates and sign up to help!
