Volunteer at Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands

Volunteer banner

Regularly-scheduled volunteer opportunities are offered every Friday morning, and some Saturdays. Tasks vary by the season but include farming, gardening, helping in the kitchen and working in the wetlands.

Every Friday there is a community lunch in partnership with the East African Senior Meal Program and Sound Generations. All are welcome! Please consider a $6 donation for the meal or help to clean-up.

Caring for the wetlands at the farm is supported by Seattle Parks and Recreation as a part of the Green Seattle Partnership, a collaboration between the City of Seattle, Forterra, community groups and non-profits, businesses, schools, and thousands of volunteers working together to restore and actively maintain the City’s forested parklands.

An RSVP is appreciated using the sign-up below. If you’re interested in bringing a group out to volunteer, please complete a Group Work Party Request Form.

Tilth Alliance provides gloves and all tools needed. We provide instruction for any tasks that need to be done -- no prior experience necessary!

Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. Please bring a water bottle that can be refilled on site.
