Volunteer at Bradner Gardens Park

Join us in our community learning garden at Bradner Gardens Park on Wednesday evenings. As long as you have signed up below or been in touch with Carey, volunteers may drop in during the shift, starting a bit late or leaving a bit early.

We provide tools and instruction for any tasks that need to be done -- no prior experience necessary!

We work rain or shine, so please dress for the weather, including sun or rain protection. We recommend dressing comfortably in clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. It's always a good idea to bring a water bottle.

Your health and safety is our top priority! All staff and volunteers must follow health and safety protocols. Please review and commit to these protocols before signing up to volunteer:

  • Staff and volunteers commit to following current public health guidelines and being screened for COVID-19 symptoms, which include cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or a loss of taste or smell. Anyone with these symptoms will be asked to stay home
  • Wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer as needed
  • Sign in and sign out on the volunteer sheet or with the staff lead
  • Bring your own garden or work gloves, if you can
  • Wear a face mask at all times if working around others
  • Work in small groups and keep 6 feet apart from others when possible
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
