  • We are excited to offer live, online classes. These interactive classes are held via Zoom and include an engaging slide show, individual and group activities, video demonstrations and time for questions and answers. Online classes are offered on a sliding scale, starting at $15. A class recording is available for up to two weeks after the class.
  • Gain hands-on experience with our in-person classes which typically take place with up to 15 participants, following COVID-19 safety guidelines. Regardless of vaccination status, participants should bring a mask and be prepared to wear it. Refer to class details for location and more information.

We offer a variety of classes on topics such as vegetable gardening, food preservation and cooking, permaculture, and urban livestock. Our expert instructors are passionate about the topics they teach and prepare participants to apply new methods outside the classroom. We emphasize experiential learning and strive to provide educational opportunities that give people a chance to learn from one another, practice their skills, and gain hands-on experience whenever possible.

Tilth Alliance strives to provide educational experiences that honor our values of accessibility and equity. Currently, we offer:

If you are interested, please reach out to and share a bit about yourself and your idea for a class or learning experience, such as teaching a class, hosting a workshop, giving a talk, etc. We offer equitable compensation and support with registration, marketing, and curriculum.

We are open to suggestions for class topics. Some ideas include:
