Become a Rainier Beach Youth Steward — Currently Hiring!

Rainier Beach Youth StewardsThe Rainier Beach Youth Steward program is a youth employment program operated by Tilth Alliance for youth, ages 14-18, to gain job experience through wetland restoration and farm education.

Participants spend 15 hours each week at Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands engaging in weekly themes that range from field management, food distribution and wetland restoration. Youth participate in different aspects of farm operations, learn about wetland restoration at the farm, and build relationships with peers, adult staff, and volunteers. Additionally, there will be opportunities for professional development through team building and job skills training.

*Please note: Due to COVID-19, interviews will be held over Zoom video chat or by phone. Programming in 2020 and/or start date are both subject to change based on government guidelines with regards to large gatherings.
