Good Food Bags

Learn more about Tilth Alliance's Good Food Bags.

Good Food BagsThe Good Food Bags program is an innovative weekly produce subscription that improves access to fresh produce for families in Seattle and South King County with limited financial resources or inadequate access to fresh food. We work with specific partners to provide bags of fresh fruits and vegetables, food that is grown using organic practices for a very affordable price.

Good Food Bags is part of Tilth Alliance Produce, community-based food distribution that’s kind to the earth, fair to farmers and good for you.

Our Program

Good Food BagGood Food Bag members can choose between a weekly or bi-weekly bag of produce. Each bag contains a variety of nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables, plus a recipe to try using ingredients from the bag. The produce in each bag is grown organically to ensure that the quality of food is healthy for our bodies and for our planet. The food is sourced primarily from two of Tilth Alliance’s educational farms— Tilth Alliance's farm business incubator and Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands —as well as from other regional producers through Tilth Alliance Produce. During the off-season, we source produce from Organically Grown Company.

Guiding Principles

  • Make local, organic food accessible.
  • Promote public health.
  • Support local farmers who practice environmentally conscious, organic and GMO-free agriculture.
  • Encourage eating of seasonal produce.
  • Foster community empowerment and development.
